They also aim to spread medical awareness to all places that it serves, while also achieving sustainable funding for its activities.
The organization considers the following as its core values:
Privacy – Mersal aims to ensure a patient’s eligibility while ensuring they maintain their dignity.
No discrimination – the foundation is open to all patients, no matter their nationality, color, language or religion.
High-quality services – Mersal aims to provide all medical services with the highest possible quality through its vast network of specialized medical personnel.
Credibility and Transparency – Mersal often announces the size and source of its fund, in addition to its administrative and medical expenses. Any person can have access to financial reports and annual budgets of the organization to see how the resources are managed.
Over the past six years, the organization has registered over 25,000 patients from 27 provinces in Egypt, with an aim to enable access to its services across the whole country. Mersal considers it critical that being specialized in specific fields is key to its success and thus, why it chose early on to stick to healthcare.
