Many phone and PC manufacturers often load their software with a bunch of apps that you may not need. Samsung is a major culprit when it comes this, often filling their phones with apps from their Samsung app store.

Windows also does this with their PCs, though they aren’t often as bad as the android phone manufacturers do. More often, these apps will not delete in the usual way that you uninstall, which means that they take up space and run in the background.

Here are a few ways to uninstall them.

Uninstalling stubborn apps on Android

One of the easiest ways to uninstall apps on android is disabling them. Here is how you do it;

Open Settings>Apps>Click on the App you want to disable> Select Disable then confirm.

Once disabled, the app will disappear from the home screen and app drawer. It will also not run in the background and won’t take up space.

If your app has a device administrator, you will need to revoke the administrator permission as below;

Open Settings>Security>then Device Administrator> then Deactivate. After this, you can the disable the app easily.
