2024 Women Techsters Initiative Program for Africa Women
The Women Techsters Initiative Program is a program which aims to give women equal access to greater possibilities through bridging the knowledge gap between men and women in the digital technology. The program is mainly interested in women from low-income areas around Africa.
To be eligible to apply for this, one must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a woman
- Must be a woman based in Africa and interested in technology careers.
- Must come from a low income area around Africa.
When a woman joins the program, she will have a variety of fields to choose from including: Product Design, Product Management, Software Development, Cybersecurity, Mobile Development, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Engineering, Blockchain and Mixed realities and 3D.
This program is a 3-week monthly training program designed to introduce girls and women to intermediate level technology skills. It also offers 5 learning paths to help them jump-start their careers or provides them with knowledge to fill in knowledge gaps from emerging technologies.
If you are eligible, you can fill and submit this online form. The deadline for applications are on a rolling basis thus no set date but the earlier you apply, the better.
Women in Tech South Africa
Women in Tech South Africa was launched in April 2020 to help close the gender gap in technology and help more women embrace STEM fields when choosing a field of study or career path.
The program, open to women in South Africa aims to bring together women interested in tech for education, entrepreneurship, inclusion & diversity and Equity.
