Learn the language

Once you have your idea in place, it is time to learn the programming language. When you attend programming courses, they will often provide you with the learning period for the courses, which you will only need to follow and study.

Often, you will begin with basic practices before growing into more complex exercises. Remember, the more coding you learn, the easier it will be to finally develop your app.

Once you feel you have learned enough to create a program, then you begin to go through the step-by-step process of app building.

  1. Idea – try to come up with a simple app idea since you are practicing.
  2. Layout – a good layout is what determines how popular an app becomes. You can use generic app layouts for a start so that you understand why things are the way they are.
  3. Coding – now it is down to writing the code Take your time as don’t rush. Bugs will always be present but you should iron them out with enough practice.
  4. Test – once you have finished building your app, test to see if performs the function you are building it to perform. You can test it with friends/acquaintances. Gather their feedback and use it to improve the app.

Once done, continue practicing. Building a mobile phone app is a long and tedious process, often very repetitive. But the rewards can be fulfilling when you see your app on Google Play Store or in the Apple App Store.
