Women in Technology and business are a growing number and thus, there is increasing demand for community in these areas. If you are a woman in Africa, tech, and business space and are looking for a community and a place where you can feel a sense of belonging, then AWIT is the place for you.

AWIT was formed by IBOM LLC with a desire to help women in tech and business connect, educate, and empower each other, all while also providing opportunities and a safe space for women to grow and lead in tech. The organization has been in existence for seven years and was founded by Anie Akpe, a trailblazer in the mortgage and banking industry who also has interests in business, entrepreneurship, and tech innovation.

Opportunities in AWIT

AWIT continually provides opportunities for women to meet and learn from each other. For example, did you know that you could become a mentor at AWIT? If you are an established professional with over 3-year experience in entrepreneurial or corporate (among other qualifications found here), you can join the AWIT network across Africa and then apply to become a mentor at the organization.

On the other hand, if you are a young woman fresh in the corporate, tech or business field, then you can also become a mentee at the organization.

AWIT Community

When you join and become part of the AWIT community, aside from mentorship, you will also find opportunities to network, find internship opportunities and even get funding for your business. You will meet industry experts face to face and gain priceless knowledge from first-hand sources and some of the best minds in Africa Tech space.

And to always be updated about AWIT events and conferences, opportunities, and daily articles, subscribe to our newsletter and be in the loop!
