Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women: Laying the Ground for Women in Business

Goldman Sachs is one of the most well-known and leading investment corporations in the world, ranked number 57 in the Fortune 500 list of the largest U.S corporations by total revenue. The company often provides financial services for various clientele, from corporations, governments, financial institutions and even individuals. As one of the leading companies in the world, then, it is no surprising that Goldman Sachs wants to help more women get into business.

Through their 10,000 Women initiative, Goldman Sachs wants to help improve women’s presence in entrepreneurship.

According to their website, 10,000 Women is an initiative that provides women with business and management education, access to capital and mentoring & networking opportunities.

They do this through offering a collection of online courses through Coursera. The most striking thing is that the courses are free to all ladies who sign up. The courses aim to help women in entrepreneurship gain skills needed to grow their business.

Aside from courses, ladies also get access to webinars with other business experts and also get peer-to-peer support from other women in a similar situation. Graduates from the courses also get access to a global network of previous alumni, further providing them with the perfect launching pad for their businesses, aside from also having access to a lot more resources.

This year, Goldman Sachs has launched three new elective courses to further address business challenges facing female entrepreneurs: Digital Marketing Strategy with Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women, Social Impact Strategy with Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women and Innovation Strategy with Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women.

The company also has a course selector quiz to help you as identify the best course for you so that you can learn skills to helps you further improve your business.

Started in 2008, 10,000 Women has managed to impact more than 100,000 women entrepreneurs across more than 150 countries, and the number continues to grow with each passing year.
